Autism or ADHD

At HHB Speech and Hearing Clinic, we provide specialized therapy for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), focusing on enhancing their communication, behavior, and social interaction skills. Each child is unique, and our therapy programs are tailored to their individual strengths, needs, and developmental levels.

Children with Autism often face challenges with speech, non-verbal communication, social skills, and language comprehension. Our speech-language pathologists work on improving functional communication, understanding and using language, initiating conversations, turn-taking, and interpreting non-verbal cues such as gestures or facial expressions. For non-verbal children or those with limited speech, we incorporate AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) methods, such as picture exchange systems or speech-generating devices.

For children with ADHD, who typically struggle with attention, impulse control, and executive functioning, our therapy helps improve listening skills, following instructions, organizing thoughts, and maintaining conversational flow. We also work on improving social communication and managing language processing difficulties, often seen in ADHD.

Our therapy sessions are interactive, engaging, and structured, using tools like visual schedules, sensory-friendly materials, behavior reinforcement techniques, and social stories. We closely collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other therapists to ensure a consistent and supportive approach both at the clinic and home.
